The primary theme of this piano composition in F minor came from sitting down at the piano to improvise. The middle part of the piece, in C minor, makes use of a melody I had had in my mind for over a decade. There is one G note in the composition that caused me so much angst that I later referred to my indecision in life as “G.” Leaf in the Breeze illuminates the journey of a leaf, if only it were conscious, taken away by the wind.
